BREACH OF FIREARMS ACT
PAHIATUA, June 6
At the Magistrate's Court, Win Greddy was fined £1 and costs for lending a registered pea lifie to James Beard. Tlie hitter was lined the same amount for borrowing. Greddy, who was leaving the district, lent the rifle to Beard. The magistrate (Mr. Free) said that it appeared that the men did not know the fundamental principle of the Firearms Act. A permit was required to deal with arms.
