A heavy cargo derrick was taking the weight* of a sling -of cheese when the shackle carried away and the derrick crashed across 1 the combings of No. 3 hold. Fortunately no one was underneath, but a watersider named Michael Barry, who was at the winch, had his hand caught between the' derrick and the winch lever. His hand was badly gashed, and j his side and back were bruised.
