STRIKING TRAMWAYMEN REPLACED.

LONDON, May 23. The London County Council has instructed tramway strikers eligible for military and naval service to return their uniforms and badges, and is appointing men above' military age as motormen and conductors for the period of the war. Lacey, a German naturalised at Hull, has handed the Mayor £200 for the master and crew of any Yorkshire vessel sinking a German submarine.
