In the Sheffield Shield cricket match against South Australia^ whose first innings realised 281 runs, the New South Wales men scored 307. in their first innings (Macartney 117,, Trumper 20, Andrews 43, Barbour 52, > Fplkard 25 not out). Crawford took five wickets for 89 runs, Kirkwood three for 76, and Rundell one for 61.
