TARANAKI LAND BOARD.

Among the business dealt with at the Taranaki Land Board's meeting oh Thursday was the following: — TRANSFERS. W. Bly obtained consent on August 21 last to transfer section 33, block 11, Ngaere (172 acres) to Geo. Onion, but the transaction; has apparently fallen through. He now applied to transfer to C. E. Major, of• Auckland. —Resolved that application be deferred until next meeting. Hopkins and Caplen applied to transfer section 6, block 12, Omona (650 acres) to P. T. Burgess by way of exchange.—lt was resolved that transfer be approved. • LEASES EXPIRED.

W. A. Quinn held sub-sections 3 and 5, of section 189, Patea district (7ac 2r lip) on Education Reserve lease for 21 years from November 1, 1892, without right of renewal.—lt was resolved - that the matter be deferred for'further information.
