FIRE AT MORNINGTON.

DTJNEDIN, .Oct. 23. A five-roomed house in James Place, Mornington, was destroyed by fire this morning. It belonged to Mr W. L. Tennet. The occupier, Mrs Grace, was cooking about 11.15, when some fat caught fire and made a flare, and she was injured by several burns. The pain made Mrs Grace run out to get the neighbors to attend to her injuries, and the fat set the house in a blaze. A few of the contents were saved. Mr Tennet was insured with the National Office for £250. Mrs Grace has a policy for £100 with the Norwich Union Office: The house was valued at £450.
