There was a small yarding of fat cattle at Burnside on Wednesday, 142 being penned. Owing to several butchers having bought privately the demand was not so keen as last week, and prices all over showed a decline of about 10s per , head. : Prime bullocks, £12 to £13 15s; extra heavy to £16 17s 6d; medium to good, £10 10s to £11 10s; light to £9.

Fat sheep: There was a small yarding of 3047, and prices for wethers showed a drop of about Is. Unfinished sheep suffered most, as only a few graziers were present. Ewes sold at last, week's prices.
