ADDINGTON.

At Addington on Wednesday, there were small entries of stock in almost all departments, and a good attendance with a, good demand for the few fat lambs and freezing sheep offered. As Canterbury factories close down on August 9th, store; sheep, except best class of ewes, were easier. A few lines of fat lambs brought last week's rat»s, and fat sheep sold at an advance, of fully Is per head.. ;Fat cattle sold with more keenness in biding and very prime sorts showed a little improvement in value.

Store sheep.—Two-tooth ewes realised 22s 7d; 4, 6, and 8-tooths 21s Id; 2and 4-tooth- wethers, 16s to 16s 3d; wethers in low condition, 14s 7d; aged ewes, 6s 6d to 9s IOd; Avether hoggets, los 6d to 16s Id. . ? ■....'

Fat Lambs.—Tegs, 17s to 19s 9d; ordinary freezers, 14s to 16s 9d. Fat Sheep.—Extra prime wethers to 555; prime 21s-to 24s b'd; others, 16s 4d to 20s 6d;: extra prime ewes to 32s 6d; prime 19s to 2Ss.6d; others, 13s to 18s 6d; merino wethers, 13s Id to 20s 9d; merino ewes, 12s. . • , Eat Cattle.—Best beef realised 24s to 315.; extra- to 32s 6d per 1001b. Steers made £7 17s 6d to £12; extra to £12 Is;.heifers, £7 5s to £10 2s 6d and cows £5 5s to £9 2s 6d.

Store Cattle.—Yearlings. 32s 6d; IS to 18-month sorts, £2 19s to £3 10s; 2year, steei^s, £4 9s to £4 10s; 2-year heifers, £3 10s; 3-year steers, £5* 11s 6d; dry cows, £1 15s; cows in calf, £5 5s to £G 15s.

Dairy cows made £5 to £11 ss. Fat Pigs.—Choppers made £4 to £6 7s 6d and lighter 50s to 57s 6d; equal to s£d per.lb. Heavy, porkers realised 3os to 40s, and lighter sorts, 30s to 355, equivalent to s£d per lb. Stord Pigs.—Large to 345; medium, 22s to 275, and small sorts, 17s to 21s; weanets, 11s to 16s.
