Th© Liberal Association Conferemce rejected a motion that a referendum be taken at the next general elections regarding the introduction of the totalisator: approved a motion that the Liberal Party introduce legislation providing for advances of money at a low rate of interest, on approved freehold security, to people for the purpose of enabling them to build their own homes in any part of the State.
