PURE FOOD COMMISSION
AN INTERIM REPORT

SYDNEY, July 12. The interim report of the Food Commission recommends that the exclusive right of conducting the metropolitan fish markets be vested in the City Council, and that consignments to private agents for sale in Sydney he not permitted ; that the Council consider the practicability of purchasing fish outright from catchers on the fishing grounds and reselling in the city and suburbs on such conditions as may be deemed expedient.
