LONDON, July 12. A meeting of Liberal and Labor members of the House of Commons has formed a strong committee to further the acquisition of land by the Central Government and local authorities, based on Government, taxation values. It is understood that the intention is to prepare a memorandum concerning the nationalisation of land for presentation to the Prime Minister and Mr Lloyd George. The committee disclaim aiiy opposition to Mr Acland's committee. In the House of Commons, Mr J. Grant (Unionist member for Cumberland) moved the adjournment to call attention to the Government's inability to provide sanatorium benefits under the Insurance Bill.

Mr Masterman replied that the existing institutions for the treatment of tuberculosis were at the disposal of insurance committees for domiciliary treatment, and they could commence forthwith.

The Daily News states that the Admiralty is asking for an increase, probably of four millions, on next year"s estimates.
