DISESTABLISHMENT BILL
TREATMENT OF THE WELSH
BY CABLE—PEESB ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.
LONDON, June 21. A deputation of Liberal churchmen and Nonconformists urged more generous treatment of the Welsh. Mr Asquith, replying, agreed that the Irish Church was richer than the Welsh Church, and promised careful consideration.
The Daily Mail questions whether the Disestablishment Bill will pass. There is agitation in the'lobbies, where there are caves, and Liberal churchmen and English Nonconformists are also lukewarm.
