Captain Fullerton, of the Otago Boys' Hish School, has accepted the command of the team of New Zealand senior cadets that is to visit Canada shortly. The youths are at present undergoing instruction at Trentham. Second Lieutenant B. C. Kirk, from the New Zealand Garrison Artillery, has been appointed second lieutenant in the 11th Taianaki Regiment. Mr G. L. Rogers has also been appointed second lieutenant in the 11th. Regiment. Second Lieutenaut G. W. Tayler has been appointed for service with the Senior Cadets.

Mr Joseph Pennington, of Ingle wood, passed away this morning (says thft .News) after a short illness. ' The deceased gentleman was one of the oldtime veterans, having seen some 16 or 17 years' service. He was a Grenadier Guard, and had the Crimea medal '(four clasps), and the Turkish and New Zealand medals.

Mr Wilfrid Gore Brown, son of a late Governor of INew Zealand, will be consecrated Anglican Bishop of Kimberley, South Africa, ihe Standing Committee of the Auckland Diocese is arranging to send a cablegram of congratulation to Ihe distinguished Aucklander from the city and diocese of his birth.
