DEMAND FOR A NATIONAL STOPPAGE.
A small majority of the South Wales Miners' Executive rejected Mr Stanton's demands for a national stoppage, including railwaymen and transport workers, and the proposal that the Labor Party should obstruct all Parliamentary business until a living wage was insisted upon by Act of Parliament and royalties were abolished.
