WEST COAST RESERVES COMMISSION.

The Royal Commission of Enquiry into the West Coast Settlement Reserves Act, 1881, was resumed in the Hawera Courthouse this morning, when the evidence of Charles Andrews, of Okato ; was taken. He was crossexamined by Mr Bell, counsel for the Maoris, and admitted that he had not been badly treated by the Public Trustee. The Commission then adjourned until. 10.30 o'clock on Monday morning. The Commission will sit at Opunake on Wednesday and Thursday, May 15 and 16, and at New Plymouth on the Saturday, Monday a*nd Tuesday following. The Commission will afterwards return to Hawera, when the evidence of the Maoris will be taken.
