KAKARAMEA.

(From a Correspondent.) On Friday, Ist inst., the last meeting of the old Kakaraniea Dairy Company was held. The directors decided to pay out a final dividend of Is lOd in the £. A small sum still remaining was absorbed by a donation of £2 each to the Patea, Alton, Manutahi and Kakaramea schools. Mr Gilshnan was appointed to take charge of the books.

At the school;committee meeting, Mr J. AY. Jones tendered his resignation, which was accepted with regret. A vote of thanks was accorded the Kakararuea Dairy Company for a contribution of £2 to the school funds.

Under the auspices of the Christian Endeavor Society the Rev. J. H. White delivered •an interesting and amusing lecture on "Peter Mackenzie," the eminent MethpcVssr divine, whien. was niuen enjoyed by his audience.
