PERSONAL ITEMS.

A very old resident of the district in the person of Mr James Brophy passed away at his home near Eitham on Thursday last. Mr Brophy formerly had a farm near Okaiawa.

A cablegram from Sydney states that after speaking at the Home Rule meeting on Thursday night, Sir William Lyne, M.H.R., had a sudden seizure, and has been in a state of coma since. His condition is serious. It is supposed that a blood-vessel in the brain burst.
