Mr Dilly is making good progress with has shop, and expects to be open for business in about a fortnight. Considering the great nuJnber of weddings that will take place this month Mr Dilly ought to do good ,busmess. Anyway, I wish t!he Furnisher" all sort® of good luck in his business enterprise. The quarterly meeting of th© Loyal Kaponga Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U., was held at the lodge-room on Monday night last. 1 There was a good, attendance of members, N.G. Bro. Larritt presiding. The following officers were installed : Bros. A. Melville, N.G. ; S. A. Lewis, V.G.; W. Brick, R.S. to V.G. ; T. McMillan, L.S. to V.G. ; J. Buckingham, R.S. to N.G. ; N. Eccleston, L.S. to N.G. ; C. S. Walker, Guardian; C.,. Lister, E: Secretary; G. Troww, Warden^Hauditorsi C.-S. Walker, J. Buckingham and T. McMillin. The balancesheet for th*) half-year ending June 30 was read and confirmed. 'Same showed a credit 1 balance of £129 Is Id. Resolved to accept the Stratford 1 Lodge offer of £50 at 5 per cent. A progress payment of £85 on the Oddfellows Hall was passed for payment. Resolved that the next meeting be held at the new hall in Kuri street. A committee was formed to make arrangements for an entertainment to bo held at some near date. A vote of thanks was accorded to Bro. Eccleston for his offer to manufacture forms for the hall. A committe» was formed and instructed to procure tables, etc., for the hall. Resolved that the Town Board be written to regarding footpaths to the hall. Accounts totalling £110 7s 4d were passed for payment. Re ceipts for the evening were £30 10s Bd Resolved that Bro. Saini's name be placed on the merit board. The Lodge closed in due time and forn^
