The. adjourned annual meeting of the householders in the school district was held yesterday eveningj Mr Hunt being in the ©hair. Th& annual report and balance-sheet were Tead and adopted. The balance in hand to 31st March was £8 10s 4d. The following weTe elected a committee for the ensuing year. Messrs Hunt, Bridge, Hi/J, HungOT, Davis, D. T. Craig and E. Antrobus. Mr Hunt was re-elected Chairman and Mr Bridge Secretary.
It is "to be hoped that theire will be a Large attendance at the adjourned meeting to be 'held in the Oddfellows' Hall on Thursday evening to consider the function for the opening of <tlje new hall.
The Secretary of the local Trotting Club has received a letter from tihe secretary of the Trotting Associatisin, noting that the following disqualifications were removed on condition that the applicants and horses were not disqualified for any other offence other than for running at uniegistewd meetings : T. E. Croft and horse Toby, Wm. Baker and nuure Melba, C. H. Bradford and mare Flossie, Wm. CleaveT and horse Wall Eye, Chas. Jornes, Max Graham, S. Head, G. B. Brown. Horses must also be duly registered in approved name at time of nomination for forthcoming meeting. If names of any .horse axe similar or identical with those of xegistered horses fresh names must be substituted for approval ; names with, numerals are not allowed. It was also resolved to remove disqualifications inourated by persons or horses taking part in trotting race at sports held by Dairymen's Sports Club at Auroa on May 9th last.
