GALE IN THE NORTH.
AUCKLAND, July 10.
A gale at Waiuku raged about 3 o'clock tc-day. Large trees were uprooted. A carpenter's shop and a cowshed were unroofed, the iron and timber being carried a quarter of a mile. Fences were levelled and no doubt considerable damage will be reported later.
