SMALL STEAMER DRIVEN ASHORE
WELLINGTON, July 10.
A heavy gale swept over Wellington today and seriously incommoded shipping. Several vessels in the harbor dragged tJieir anchors a considerable distance. The little steamer Piako, which was journeying from Blenheim, was thrown up on i he beach at FitzToy Bay, near Pencarrow Head. The persona who were on board are safe at the lighthouse.
