Several leases have fallen in, and the arbitrators appointed to decide the amount of compensation awarded a thousand pounds to the tenants. "The Board has but half that amount available,- and is unable to utilise the land for a loan. It has been decided to ask the Government to pass the necessay legislation to enable the Board to extricate itself from its present financial position.
