ELTHAM. FOOTBALL CLUB.

(PROM OUR RESIDENT AGENT.) The annual meeting of the Eltham Football Club was held la B fc evening There was a large attendance, and Mr H. Jenkins was voted to the chair. The Hon. Secretary (Mr J. Moir) read the annual report, which stated that though the Club started last season with a deficit of 19a 6d, it had now a credit balance of £9 Is 2d. This was due to the large increase iv membership and gate money. There was a prospect of two strong teams being placed in the field this season. The balance-sheet showed receipts .£25 17a 3d ; expenditure, £16 16s Id. The following officers were elected : — President, Mr R. H. Campbell ; vicepresidents, Dr. Scott, Messrs A. Bliss, Graves, Sullivan, Blennerhasset, G. W. Tayler, Crump, G. Moir. C. Potts. C. Hodgson; cap. tain of Club (teams to elect own captain), Mr D. Moir ; vice-captain, Mr A. Moir; management committee, Messrs A. Moir, C. Baker, \V. Cook, H. Jenkins, H. Robinson, H. Nuttall, I. Salmon, and captain; selection committee, captain, vice-cuptain. and Mr H. Nuttall ; delegate to Union, Mr H. Nuttall ; hon. surgeon, Dr. Scott ; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr J. Moir (reelected). On the motion of Messrs Baber and Doran, the Secretary was voted two guineas m recognition of services to the Club. Mr A. J. Canning was made a life member of the Club, flattering mention being made as to his services to the Club. The subscription was fixed at 2s 6d for seniors and juniors. Any member who has not paid his subscription a month after first match shall be struck off the roll. (Nuttall— Bliss.) The colours will be black and white jersey, black stockings, and white knickers. Mr NuttaJl stated that Mr Sid. Palmer had presented a ball to the olub, and also intended giving a banner. On the motion of Messrs Bliss and Jenkins, a hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr Palmer. It was resolved that the season be jpened by a ball. The following were ippointed a committee to carry out the iffair :— Messrs Jenkins, F. Potts, J. Moir, Lewis, H. Robinson, H. Page, ffamblyn, T. Wilson, De Launay, W. Palmer, F. Caulton, and G. Browning. The meeting adjourned.
