FATAL ACCIDENT AT TE KIRI,

(FROM A CORRESPONDENT.) A shocking fatality occurred here on Wednesday afternoon, at about halfpast three. It appears the children of Mr F. Watson were at play with other children some little way from their house, when, by accident, Mr Watson's youngest child, a girl about two years old, fell into a cask, which contained a quantity of skim milk. Mrs Watson's attention was drawn to the fact by one of the other children, but, unfortunately, too late, as upon the mother pulling the child out she found that life was extinct. Mr and Mrs Fred. Watson are deeply sympathised with in their great grief. An inquest is to take place to-morrow afternoon. February 26.
