NOLAN, TONKS, AND CO.'S SHEEP FAIR.

Twenty-six thousand shoep came forward at Messrs Nolan Tonks and Oo.'s sheep fair, held on. Friday. Bidding at the start was slack, but an improvement was noticeable as tbe 'sale proceeded. The several lines were very meritorious. As we stated on Friday, prices all round showed a decline of over 4s, as compared withlast season's, the fall in fats being particularly heavy, but not more than could have been expected under the existing conditions of the wool and mutton markets. Among prices realised were the following :— Shorn lambs, 4s to ss ; woolly lambs, 48 6d to 5s 6d; extra good, line of lambs, 6s to 7s; two tooth ewes, 9a 3d to 10s ; four tooth ewes, 10$ to 10s 6d ; six and eight tooth ewes. 7s 9d to 88 6d ; f.f.m. ewes, 69 to 7s 6d ; fat and forward ewes, 83 to 83 9d ; two tooth wethers, 9a to 9s 3d; two and four tooth forward wethers, 9s lOd.
