The beef pens were W6ll filled with cattle of real good quality, and rose in value fully 10s per head during the early part of the sale, but were lower towards the end. Steers and heifers brought 19s to LI Is 1001b; aged cows, 16s to 18s. Prices for Bteers were from L 5 to LlO 2s 6d; cows, L 4 to L 7 12s 6d. Fat sheep came forward in usual numbers, and prices were lower, heavy wethers bringing from 11s to 13s; lighter sorts, 8s 6d to 10s 6d ; ewes, 7s to 103 6d ; 1000 sold. Fat lambs, penned in smaller numbers than of late. Well-fatted sold well, and brought from 10s 6d to 13s 9d for heavy weights ; lighter sorts, 7s 6d to 10s ; store, 4s to 6s 6d ; 300 sold. Pigs of all classes came forward in fair numbers. Prices were a shade lower for weaners and heavy weights, but porkers kept their value. Bmall brought from 5s to 10s ; porkers, LI to LI 15a ; heavy, up to L 2 6s ; 70 sold.
