ADDINGTON MARKET REPORT.

Chbistchukch, February 12. At the Addington market to-day the entries were:— l4,ls6 sheep, 443 cattle, and 549 pigs.

Of fat cattle, 186 head were yarded. There was slow bidding, and a drop of Is per 1001b on last week's prices. Prices realised 16s to 21s per 1001b.

Store cattle— Good entry and strong competition for all classes. Three-year-old steers, L 6 10s to L 6 15s ; heifers, L 4 8s 8d ; two-year steers, L 4 5s to L 4 9s ; 15 to 18 months cattle, L 2 sto L 2 19s ; yearlings, LI 4s to LI 17s 6d ; dry cows, L 2 10s to L 4 sa.

Fat sheep : Fairly large entry ; the bulk crossbred ewes of good quality. For freezing sheep there was fair competion, but spirited for good ewes, whioh advanced Is per head. For other ewes, bidding was irregular, but the tone firmer. Wetherß, 13s 9d to 148 6d for light weights ; freezing weights, 15s to 16s 9d ; extra prime heavy weights, 17s to 17s 9d ; ewes, sound mouth crossbred, 14s to 15s 7d ; aged, 7s 4d to 13s 9d.

Store sheep : Larger entry, mostly North Island and Chatham Island sheep. The bulk of the entry found buyers and prices Bhowed a slight improvement, Pigs: Larger yarding. Good demand all round. Baconers, 34s to 55a, or 3|d per lb ; porkers, 22s to 30s, or 4d per lb ; large stores, 14s to 23s 6d ; weaners and Bmall stores, 5s to Bs.
