In the 1902 edition of the Classified Directory to the Metropolitan Charities, there is a vast store of information of public interest.

On page xxii., for example, there stands a table whioh gives in brief abstract a summary of the total income of London's oharities. That income comes co the enormous amount of £6,6,481,062.
