Auckland, January 9. " The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. (Ltd.) report : —
Cattle : Dairy cows sold at from L 4 15s to L 9 23 Cd ; empty cows, L3ssto L 4 7s 6d ; calves, LI 2s to LI 12s. Ox beef sold at from 20s to 22s 6d per 1001b ; cow, 17s to 19s. Steers made L67s 6d to Ll2 2s 6d ; cows, L 4 5s to L 7 12s 6d.
Sheep : Wethers sold at from 12s Od to 16s ; ewes, 10s 6d to 14s 3d. Lambs from 8s 3d to 13s.
Pigs : Porkerß brought from 19s to LI 19s 6d.
Messrs Buckland and Sons report :—
Cattle : Dairy cows made L 5 to L 7 10s ; dry do., L 2 10s to L 4 5s ; strong calves, LI 5s to LI 15s. Beef, 19s to 22s for steers and heifers, and 16s to 18s for cows.
Sheep: Wetherß made 10s 6d to 17s 6d ; ewes, 7s 6d to 11s 9d ; fat lambs, 10s 6d to 14s ; lighter, 7s to 9s ; stores, 3s 9d to 6s 6d.
Pigs sold at high values.
