Wanganui, January 16. All classes of cattle are selling well. There is a good demand for steers fit for fattening purposes, and any offering sell freely. Bheep — No quotable change. Pigs — In fair demand. At Mr W. Anderson's clearing sale of implements, etc., on Tuesday last, eveything sold at satisfactory prices. We quote : — * Cattle.— Forward cows, L 3 11s to L 3 15s ; weaners and yearling steers, 37s to L 2 3s; weaners, 25b to 303; 12 to 15 month steers, L 2 13s 6d to L 2 15s ; forward bullocks, L 6 6s ; 2to 2£ year steers, L 4 9s to L 4 11b 6d ; cows and calves, LI 11s.

Sheep.— Fat ewes, 7s lid to 8s sd; wethers, 6s 6d ; forward ewes, 6s 3d to 7s ; woolly lambs, 4s (3d.

Pigs.— Baooners, 32s to 345 ; large pork, 24s to 30s ; porkerß, 15s to 21s ; small pigs, 5s to Bs.

At Mr W. Anderson's sale— Engine and threshing machine, L 29 0; mowers, hay rakes, etc., sold well ; property, 5J acres and buildings, L 45 0; draught mares, £25 10s to L3O ; draught mare and foal, L4B ; half draught colt, Ll3 15s ; 2 year filly by Glengyle, L 26;2 6; boys' ponies, L 8 12s 6d.
