MESSRS GORTON AND SON'S STOCK REPORT.
Feilding, October 4.
Messrs Gorton 'and Son report : — The Hnnterville sale was largely attended. There was a good demand for fat cattle, and all changed hands at good priceß. All the sheep but one pen of hoggets changed hands. At Feilding we have to report a successful sale. All classes of cattle sold readily, especially fat cows and grown steers. We quote — Hunterville— Forward bullocks, L 6 103 ; fat cows, L 4 5s to L 6 10s ; springing cows, L 4; springing heifers, L 3 10s to L 4 10s ; empty heifers, L393t0 L 3 10s ; weaners, 20s; heifers in calf, L 3 ss. Forward wethers, 14s 6d ; ewes in lamb, 93 5d to los ; fat ewes, 13s 6d ; mixed hoggets, 12s 6d.
Feilding— Fat cows, L 4 103, L 6 18s Cd ; forward bullocks, L67s6d to L 6 17s ; store bullocks, Lsto L 5 ss ; 18-montbs and 2year steers, L33sto L 3 18s 6d ; yearlings/ L2to L 2 11s 6d ; weaners, LI 5s 6d to L 2; store cows, L3to L 3 ss ; springing heifers, L37s 6d to L 3 12s 6d ; springing cows, L 4 15s 6d to L 6 7s. Sheep: Forward wethers, 14s 9d to 153 4d, and two pens at 15s 7d ; ewes and wethers, 13s lOd ; wether hoggets, lls 6d to 14a Cd; ewe hoggets, 10s 8d to 14s ; mixed hoggets, 9s 4d to to lls 3d, two pens 11b 7d to 13s ; empty ewes, 9s 6d to 10s 2d ; forward ewes, 12s to 12s 6s ; fat ewes, 13s 8d ; poor ewes and lambs, lls lid.
