Messrs Buckland and Sons' report: — Young and sound draught horsea sold up to L 35; medium active horses, LlB to L 25;2 5; hacks and buggy horses, L 9 to Ll2. Prices for cows at profit ranged from L 3 to L 5 5s eaoh ; fat and young calves, fresh dropped, 4s to 8s eaoh; medium, 103 to 14s; heavy, up to L 2 10s— 80 sold. Two and a-half year steers were from L 3 8s to L 4 5s each ; dry cows, L 2 10s to L 4; strong calves, LI to LI 3s per 1001b; steers ranged in price from L 6 2s 6d to Ly 17s Gd each ; cows, L 4 to L 7 ss. Heavy wethers brought from 18s to LI 4s each ; lighter sorts, 15s to 17s 6d ; ewes, 14s to 18s. Spring lambs brought from 8s 3d to 13s each. Good conditioned store pigs were from 10s to 18s each ; heavy, up to LI 15s ; small, 2s Cd to 8s 6d ; porkers, 17s to LI 7s.
