Beceived October 6, 11 a.m.. Melbourne, Ootober 6. In the Assembly £45,000 was ap< propriated for the further maintenance of the contingents in South Afrioa. In view of the proposed Boyal visit, a bill was passed to enable the Government to raise £145,000 for city improvements. The dissolution will probably take place nest week.
