The Argus says that Mr Seddon's ambition is to be a maker of history. If Fiji should federate with New Zealand, then Tonga would soon follow. When the New Zealand scheme is unfolded, it will not be difficult to understand the disappointment felt in that colony over the annexation of Samoa. The Argus adds that it is not likely tho Imperial Government will sanction any step in the direction of Fiji's union with New Zealand till the Commonwealth has been consulted.
