W. Tait v. Bernard Brown.— Mr Bennett for plaintiff. Judgment for plaintiff for £15 193 9d, with costs £1 10s 6d.
W. Lewis v. Bernard Brown.— Mr Bennett for plaintiff. Judgment for plaintiff by default for with costs £1 B. W. Sinclair v. Henry Irvine.— Mr Bennett for plaintiff. Judgment by default for £V 10s 9d, with costs £1 8s 6d. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. A. G. Bennett v. George Ngatau, claim JG9 11s 6d. No appearance or excuse ; order for payment, in default ten days's imprisonment in New £ly< -mouth Gaol. JUDGMENT. Judgment (already published in the Star) was given in the case Steuart and Corrigan v. Murphy. '. DEFENDED CASH. Charlotte E. Mellow v W. Humphries.—Mr A. G. Bennett for the plaintiff, and Mr McDavitt for defendant. Plaintiff sought to recover from the defendant the sum of £19 13s 6d for j damages done to culverts, roads, grass, fences, grazing, andloss of stock through the neglect of the defendant to keep the gates closed while carting gravel from the plaintiffs land on to the road. ! Plaintiff relied on a verbal agreement. Evidence was given by Mrs Mellow, Henry Mellow, A. Mortleman, William Humphries, and others. Judgment was given for JE6 8s 6d, and costs £7 19s 3d. On a counter claim for £10 general damages, and £10 special damages for loss of time, etc., judgment went for Mrs Mellow, with costs £2 2s.
