Proposed A.and P Council.

Palmbbston North, July 19. A meeting of delegates from the Masterton, Egmont, Wanganui.Hawkes, Bay, Wairarapa, Poverty Bay, Woodville, Manawatu A. and P. Associations was held here today to consider the advisability of forming a United A. and P. Council for districts represented. The object of the council is to consider and deal with all matters in conneolion with A. and P. shows and farming and pastoral pursuits generally. The following resolutions were agreed to :— That the fixing of show dates be a function of the Council ; that the Manure Adulturation Aot be strictly enforced by the Stock Department; that the Council strongly urges the associations to insist that all pure-bred exhibits be entered, or certified as eligible to be entered, in a recognised stud, flock or herd book of their particular breed J that the Railway Depart* ment be asked to grant greater concessions to stock and attendants travelling to and from shows; that the Government be asked to introduce a Bill preventitig unqualified persons styling themselves Veterinary Surgeons ; that sacks and packages containing farmer's produce be paid for at current market prices when the produce is bought.
