The Auckland Disappearance.
♦ (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, December 11. An application was made at the Supreme Court as to the service of summons to John Bancroft, accountant, oalling upon him to show cause why he should not be adjudged bankrupt. Bancroft disappeared, on the day of the departure of the Mariposa for San Francisco. He was manager of the Auckland Industrial and Provident Permanent Building, Land and Investment Society. Mr Justice Conolly granted a summons to be served at Bancroft's last knownplace of residence.
