(per press association.)

LONDON, June 26.

Three women have been found lately murdered in different parts of the suburbs. The wounds inflicted on their bodies are in the style affected by "Jaok tbe Ripper."

LOSS OP THE VICTORIA.

(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.)

LONDON, June 27.

After tho collision, Admiral Tryon endeavoured to run the Victoria ashore, and ordered all men on deck,

When the Victoria began to settle, he ordered " Sauve gui peut." All those on deck jumped overboard except Admiral Tryoo, who remained alone on the bridge. Tbe vessel sank head foremost. The stern was for a few moments in a perpendicular position. The Hull then turned over. There were two tremendous explosions as she sank,

The Camperdown was kept afloat by dosing the watertight chambers and tbe use of the pnmps.

Tbe Admiral wbb last seen in tbe water waving & telescope to Rear-admiral Markham, who was on board the Camperdown.

The latter, immediately after the accident, dropped her collision-mat, and had to go fall speed to avoid the wreckage.

Some eye-witnesses state that the Victoria disappeared in six minutes.

Telegrams have been read from the Governors of Tasmania, Western Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and New Zealand, and a joint letter from Messrs H. Heaton, Hogan, T. Curran, W. A. McArthur, and F. O'Driscoll (as Australian members of the House of Commons), expressing regret and sympathy, and highly lauding Admiral Tryon's personal merits.

Tbe Malta correspondent of the Daily News wires that there is no foundation for tbe report that Admiral Tryon's body haß been fonnd.

Admiral Tryon's cap, telescope, and despatch box have been recovered.

It is believed at the Admiralty that the collision was not due to any defeot in the maohinery, and it is feared the oauso lies in faulty execution of orders.
