The following ieaße,a J were dealt with by Mr Williams, on behalf of the Public Trußtee and the native owners, on Tuesday • May 23rd :—
Section 189, block iv, Waimate, area, 107 aores ; unimproved value, £535 ; value of improvements, £214; lessees, Buokle Bros. The upaet fixed by tbe Public Trustee waa accepted by both parties.
Section 46, block I, Waimate, area 82 acres ; unimproved value £637 ; value of improvements £165; lessee, Mr E. H. Godsal. Tbe native owners agreed to accept the rental (7s 9d per acre) paid by the Trustee, but the lessee considered it excessive, aad pointed out tbat this land was valued as highly as land near Okaiawa, tbe latter being in a much better position, and consequently worth more. He offered 6a 6d per acre, and decided to submit it to the trustee for his further consideration.
This concluded all the business of the present sittiDg.
HAWEEA.
Mr Williams held meetings at Hawera on Thursday and Friday In the case of Mr Delamore'gj lease the Public Trustee's valuation of 3s £d per acre was accepted ; in Mr Hunger's the Trustee's valuation at 2s 8d per acre was accepted, and id Mr Gibson's, at 2s 4d per acre, it is likely to be.
