Cattle.— The yards at Stratford on TuesdatfJwere filled with, cattle. .'Bidding was rawer slack, and a number of pens tfere passed in, but a good many of these were sold afterwards. Steers sold at about late rates, .but heifers were lower. The sale was irregular, some pens selling very well. Calves made 23s to 355, yearlings 36s to -465, 18-months steers £3 to £3 ss, 2 to 3year steers £A to M 10s, 18-months to 2year heifeiu £2 10s to £3 2b, cows and calves M 10s 6d, dairy cows to £5 10s, ••ws, empty, £3 12b 6d. , Stock mustered well at Waiwakaiho on Thursday. Bidding was very good, but prices were slightly easier in some classes, xbung. cattle sold fairly. Big steers all sold, J)iit at prices in favour of buyers. Dairy stock, springing heifers and cowsincluding Mr. Fredrickson's dairy— sold very well. Calves made 26s to 355, very small do 10s, yearlings to 465, 12 to 18months mixed 46s to 52s 6d, 18-months steers 54s to 58s, 2 to 2f year steers £3 17s 6d to £4 4s, 18-months heifers 50s 6d, 21 to 3-year steers £4 10s, dairy cows to £7 2s • 6d, springing heifers £4 5s to £5 17s 6d, backward heifers £3 17s, fat do £4 2s, bulls £2 6s to £6 20s.
