A Commission, consisting of delegates from lour countries interested in the Pamir Plateau, Central Asia, will probably proceed tbere for the purposes of delinisting their various spheres. The Standard asserts that Mr. Goschen has waived bis claims to the leadership of the House of Commons m succession to the late Mr. W. H. Smith, and that it has been arranged that A. J.
