The revenue of the colony for the year en ding 30th June amounted to £6,734,000, being £200,000 above the estimate, nnd an increase of £317,000 compared with the previous year. The increase shown is in Customs, £128,000 ; territorial revenue, £24,000 ; railways, £147,000 ; stamps, £20,000. There was a decrease of excise revenue of £25,000. The total revenue for the pa^t quarter was .£52,000 more than that of the corresponding quarter 1885-BG. The parcels post throughout Victoria commenced to-day. Mr. Gillies arrived to-day from Adelaide. ADELAIDE, July 1. The revenue for the year, which closed yesterday, aruouuted to £1,868,000, being £375,000 below the Treasurer's estimate in November last, aDd £401,000 below the total receipts of the previous year. The revenue of the Customs decreased by £12,000 ; from the land aud income tax, by £86,000 ; and from territorial revenue, by £59,000. The railway receipts increased by £24,000. The total revenue for June quarter shows a slight increase compared with the corresponding period of last year. SYDNEY, July 1. The New South Wales revenue returns were published to-day, and show an inciease since October last of £166,947, the increase for the year being nearly £500,000, of which the chief items are : land revenue, £187,000; excise, £11,800. The Railway Department shows a decrease of £19,500; the Customs, a decrease of £4310. The Telegraph Department a'so shows a falling off in revenue. (SPECIAL TO PRESS ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, June 29.
