The committee of the Hawera Institute are abuut to order a fresh supply of new books from England ; and being desirous of meeting members' views, request them to enter in the suggestion book ihe name of any book tli*y would like to see added to the library, or by sending the name to the librarian he will enter it for them ; this will thus be a guide to the commiitee in ordering. Mr. Olson^ha3 been elected to the Taranaki Education Board in ihe place of Mr. Wade, resigned. John Wilson was on Friday committed for trial on various charges of embezzlement preferred against him by the Waitara Harbor Board. We understand that the report of the Representation Commissioners will not be completed until Monday, and that information regarding it wiil not be available to the public till Tuesday or Wednesday. Jubilee work in England, Austr.ilian news, and fireside scraps are all interesting. Correspondence from all parts ot the district, report of Mr. Finnerty's speech, leaders, local news, and latest commercial news from London, Australia, and various parts of this colony make up a capital number.
