(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, July 1. A man named David Henderson died from injuries received while jacking logs in the Whenuatue bush on Tuesday. TAURANGA, July 1. A daughter of Canon Johnstone, of Katikati, aged 14, was tbadly burned on Wednesday, through her clothes catching fire, while washing. At the inquest held on an infant of a siugle woman named Rebecca Goodwin, the jury returned a verdict that the child died of neglect through being drowned in a chamber utensil, in birth. The jury added a rider, censuring the medical attendant for not removing it sooner. A man named John Webb died in the gaol last night. He had been arrested on Tuesday, charged with larceny.
