The Pope, after further consideration, adheres to bis decision to send Mon6ignor Persico as an apostolic delegate to Ireland, owing to His Holiness' dissatisfaction with the attitude of the Irish clergy. MELBOURNE, June 30. Latest reports from Kimbevley state that prospects continue good. Twelve reefing claims have been registered. Five hundred men nre on the field, all making a livelihood, and the field is extending. Mr. Justice Williams to-day refused the application for the discharge of Charles Forwood, solicitor, charged with larceny as a bailee in New Zealand, but ordered that he should not be taken to New Zealand until his health permits of him being Bafely removed ; bail allowed. HOB ART, June 30. The Tainui, which sailed this afternoon for Port Chalmers, takes 123 New Zealand passengers. ADELAIDE, June 30. Mr. Gillies, who arrived at Adelaide yesterday, had an interview with Mr. Playford, Premier, today, and expressed anxiety to know whether South Australia would join the Federal Council. Mr. Playford replied that the subject had not yet been considered by the Government.
