FIRE BRIGADES
LOWER HI'TT PERFORMANCES
The bi-annual demonstration of the United Districts Fire Brigades Association Was h6ld at Napier during Easter. Record entries vfisth received, teams competing from Wellington and as far north as Taihape and Gisborhe. The Lower -Hutt Fire Brigade was represented and put up a good performance, the following members representing the Brigade:—Third Oo|cer W. Drleberg, Firemen H. Henfcy. H. Bartley, T. Piper, S. Percival, and J. Marshall. The brigade's performances were: 1-man championship, 4th place. 39 teams; 2-men modern, 3rd place, 40 teams; 2-men Instantaneous coupling, Ist place, 36 teams; 3-raen replace, 4th place, 27 teams; 3-men straight instantaneous coupling, 4th, 22 teams; 4-men hflse and standpipe, 6th place, 15 teams; 3-men motor replace, 7th place, 20 teams; 4-men motor draw, 3rd place, 14 teams; 4-men motor pump, 2nd place, 11 teams; 4-men motor instantaneous
couplings. 3rd place, 13 teams. The team was placed third in the championship and won the Hastings Cup for 2-men instantaneous coupling event.
