Mather, of the Hutt Valley High School staff, has been elected a member of the newlyformed Wellington Science Teachers' Association. * * * . Miss Christine Young, the wellknown contralto singer, formerly of Petone. will return to New Zealand by the liner Rangitata after ten years' absence in England and on the Continent. * * * Mdlle. G. Delmas, of the French Legation, addressed the last meeting cf the Petona branch of the League of Mothers on the French underground resistance movement.
