SERVICES RECOGNISED
CITY COUNCIL'S TRIBUTE In view of her approaching marriage Miss Enid Wood tendered her resignation from the staff at the last meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council. The Mayor said that Miss Wood had given sterling service to the Council, and had been a great helper in war work and in camp concert parties. She would take their Best wishes with her to Christchurch. Cr. W. C. Gregory said that people had referred to Miss Wood in very glowing terms. It was decided to make Miss Wood a grant equal to three months' salary, with the Council's good wishes for her happiness and prosperity.
