RUGBY FOOTBALL
WIN FOR CITY COUNCIL.
On Saturday morning those followers of Rugby who were enterprising enough to be present at the Recreation Ground were treated to an exhibition of fast, open footbali played under perfect conditions between Lower Hutt City Council and the local branch of the Post and Telegraph Department. In an intensely exciting finish City Council just shaded their opponents by 6 points to 3. Tries for the winners were scored by Baker and Deal and for the losers Francis scored a try.
