WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
S>_ HUTT VALLEY BRANCH At the last meeting of the Hutt Valley Women's Institute, held in the Red Cross Hall, Lower Hutt, there was a good attendance, presided over by Mrs. O. Hurney. The guest speaker was Miss Boxer, who is to be in charge of the girls section of the Hutt Valley Branch of Vocational Guidance which will be opened in the near future. She stressed the advantage to be gained by an outside opinion before deciding on the future career of the child. The office welcomes visits from parents or young people of school-leaving age. The choir, under the leadership of Mrs. N. Liebezeit, and accompanied by Mrs. Nees, presented two numbers, which were much appreciated.
A roll-call, "Funny • Sayings of children," caused much fun.
